Preparing You and Your Family for the Cold and Flu Season:

Healthy Family

It is important that you and your family be prepared for the Cold and Flu Season. In preparing for this Flu Season a 2013 flu vaccine has been developed and will become available to the general public starting October. This vaccination has raised many questions and concerns amongst the general public. In a recent survey conducted by Strategic Counsel for The Globe and Mail and CTV approximately 53% of Ontarians say that they will not get the Flu Vaccine.

Clearly, the public is divided in its opinion about the flu vaccine available from Health Canada. As a
naturopathic doctor, and prevention care specialist, naturopathic medicine offers many preventative measures for strengthening the immune system. I strongly believe that if you choose either option regarding vaccination, alternative preventative measures should be taken. I have outlined some preventative measures as well as our action plan for a naturopathic flu clinic.

Prevention Measures:
    • Drink plenty of water and keep hydrated
    • Take your Multi-Vitamin
    • Gargle nightly with salt water
    • Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds
Naturopathic Flu Clinic:
    • Homeopathic Flu Injection – (a scientifically proven solution which activates the immune
system particularly in influenza-like infections and viral diseases in general) 6 Injections Required over 6 months. On site treatment. Covered by most insurance plans.

$85 New Patient Assessment (HST not included)
$40 per Homeopathic Flu Injection (we recommend one per month from October to March) (HST not included)

TAKE ACTION by contacting our clinic, your other primary health care provider or TeleHealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 as soon as you start to feel the first signs of illness.
